About the Project |
| On Feb. 6th 2007 : \ sent mydogsighs a mystery package .It was completely out of the blue, It contained 24 wooden blocks. mydogsighs was stumped for Ideas he posted a pic of It on his flickr stream, he had titled the pic 'igotwood' because he had! (little did he know how often he would be writing and reading 'igotwood') NKDBY suggested different artists could have a go at painting a side each. It clicked with everyone and within 24 hours 80 artists had emailed him to ask of they could be part of the project. both : \ and mydogsighs realised one side of a block for each artist would be an organisational nightmare so : \ kindly offered to make more. In a week or so : \ made and sent another 145 blocks. each perfectly uniform In shape and beautifully sanded. Since then blocks have been regularly sent out across the world and we have been amazed by the results.The rest, as they say,Is history.
